Offline games reviews

 

We offer two types of game reviews by email: short reviews and detailed reviews:

• A short offline review includes the following:

  • Comments and short variations for obvious mistakes in the opening and bad shape

  • Comments and short variations for critical mistakes/misreadings in the middle game

  • Some comments on the endgame

  • The objective of the short review is to guide the students, let them know what they should be working on to improve their play.

• A detailed offline review includes the following:

  • Detailed explanations and complete variations on the opening (including direction of play and joseki)

  • Detailed explanations and complete variations on the bad shapes played in the game

  • Deep analysis of the middle game including the fights, life and death, general attack and defense strategies.

  • Deeper analysis of the endgame.

  • The detailed review not only guides the student, pointing out main weaknesses, it is at the same time a lecture that will allow the students to understand go more, opening their minds and making it possible for them to play a deeper go, grasping more subtleties of this very complex game.
